2. Description of Service

Cloud Cost Lens provides a cloud cost management platform that aggregates, analyzes, and visualizes cloud infrastructure costs from multiple cloud providers. The Service includes:

  • API access for programmatic cost data retrieval
  • Dashboard for visualizing cloud cost data
  • Cost analysis and optimization recommendations
  • Multi-cloud cost aggregation and normalization
  • Reporting and alerting capabilities

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Cloud Provider Credentials

To use the Service, you must provide read-only credentials to your cloud provider accounts (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.). You represent and warrant that:

  • You have the authority to grant us access to these cloud accounts
  • The credentials provided grant only read-only access to cost and usage data
  • You will maintain the validity of these credentials for the duration of your use of the Service
  • You will immediately notify us if you believe the credentials have been compromised

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated means to access the Service except through our provided API
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize the Service without authorization
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations in connection with your use of the Service

6. Subscription and Payment

6.1 Subscription Plans

The Service is offered through various subscription plans. Pricing and features for each plan are described on our website. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

6.2 Payment Terms

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

6.3 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, interfaces, and other content, is owned by Cloud Cost Lens and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

You retain all rights to your cloud cost data and other information you provide to the Service. You grant us a limited license to use this data solely to provide and improve the Service.

8. Data Privacy and Security

We take data privacy and security seriously. Our collection, use, and protection of your data are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. 9. Service Availability and Support

9.1 Uptime

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance and may need to suspend the Service for updates or repairs.

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

10.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we determine that your use of the Service poses a security or legal risk. We will provide notice when reasonably possible.

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We will delete your data in accordance with our data retention policies and applicable law. You may request a copy of your data before termination.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

11.1 Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.

11.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLOUD COST LENS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cloud Cost Lens and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cloud Cost Lens operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property rights.

14. General Provisions

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cloud Cost Lens regarding the Service.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

14.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
